would be a great idea for employers to email applicants if they have the job or not, I have been in the building industry for 35years but had to retire from putting the tool belt on after 12years off running my own building company, business to project or be a site manager for any company, I have applied a dozen times and have not received a reply back

Not sure but do we need to go into the stores that we apply for and hand in a resume aswell as apply online… ive gotten nothing back from anyone yet theyre “desperate” and “eager” for new employees…. and its suggested that im a “strong applicant” im just stuck.

Some job listings are insulting.... They ask for experience, responsibility, sometimes managing people, handling customers, solving problems and then.... offer pay that’s barely above minimum wage. Are we supposed to laugh or cry?! Employers are counting on desperation, hoping someone will say yes because they have no choice. When did this become normal and why are we expected to just accept it?

Hi Seek team, I’m writing to let you know that the job search function on your website doesn’t seem to be working at the moment. For the past 4–5 days, every search I try returns an error message saying the search can’t be completed. Refreshing doesn’t resolve it, and it keeps reverting back to the old search criteria. I really enjoy using Seek, but this issue has been quite frustrating especially since I couldn’t find a “report an issue” button Cheers

Ive been applying for more than 200 jobs under 2 weeks. even added in notes i am willing to relocate for full time work and still no call backs. Advertisers demand skills and experience but dont end up using your skills or experience as they have their own system and ways of doing the job so i dont understand why they demand "must be experienced or skilled" when they end up training you different to your past work background. job hunting in NZ is such a struggle.

I just want to know if anyone else is struggling to find a job at 16-18, I’ve applied for countless jobs yet none come back to me, I have my cv, license and etc yet none come back. I’ve written my cv with other people to make sure it’s well written. Anyone else relate?

damn this is stressful. job hunting for ages & only been able to secure jobs through mates but I want something for myself! I try and try but nothing works I know I’m not the only one I’m just tired of struggling and acting like I’m good.
