Security and Network Operations Centre Engineer
Recently, I had applied for a Job and managed to pass 3 of the 7 interviews (yes, 7 stage interview!!). After the 3rd interview I was told I was successful reaching the next stage and just needed to provide them availability. After replying and then following up another 2 times, I was then told I didn’t get the role cause the HR person went on medical leave and the position was filled.
Any tips on how to handle something like this? Is it worth escalating if I don’t even work there?

If that's what the interview process was like, maybe it's a sign it wouldn't have been a great place to work.
While it sounds like that ship has sailed, you could offer a bit of feedback and maybe it'll be better for the next person.

I don't have any advice but just wanted to say that sucks. 7 interviews is ridiculous in my books and then for them to not really properly get back to you isn't okay. What I would say is you must be a great candidate to have gone through all of that. I would fall apart after the second interview for sure.
