What’s been your experience getting interview calls from cities where you’re not currently based? Do you get interviews frequently from other locations, or do employers mostly focus on local candidates?

Ive only moved twice to another state. No luck getting something before moving, but got a job within a couple of weeks once relocated. I think employers worry about taking a risk on someone and then it falling through and they are left starting picking back through applications

Most employers lean toward local candidates, but for in-demand or remote roles, you can still get calls from other cities. Just make it clear you’re open to relocate or work remotely.
