I’m 27, I have criminal convictions that are stuck with me for life from when I was 21, and I am a solo dad to a 3 year old boy. Finding a job is extremely difficult for me, I’m losing hope. Even labourer and landscaping positions are asking for MOJ checks. And then I have to find hours that are suitable to care for my son which I have 50/50 custody of.
I’ve been clean from drugs for 5 years and I very rarely drink now, but my past actions are holding me back. What would you do? What can I do?

Hope you're holding up ok. Not many of us can say we never made a mistake before so as much as possible try to focus on where you are now, what you've learned and the good stuff you're doing now.
Have you ever thought about volunteering somewhere? I know it doesn't pay the bills but could it help to build skills and connections maybe? It could give you something interesting to talk about on your resume too.
