What’s it like working at ARN?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees appreciate the talented and supportive colleagues who create a fun and inspiring work environment at ARN. The work/life balance is excellent, with flexibility and supportive management, and the leave benefits are generous, including extra annual leave days, birthday leave, and volunteering days. The work environment is described as buzzing and casual, with regular events and celebrations, and there are opportunities for growth and development in the media industry.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as management inconsistencies in decision-making and staff support, and the move to offshore operations has created difficulties in maintaining work quality for some teams. The strong focus on financial outcomes and cost-saving has shifted priorities for some employees, and communication could be improved across the organisation. Additionally, career development opportunities may be limited for some staff, and internal processes can be time-consuming and bureaucratic.

Started great, ended not so great!
The good thingsWhen I first started with ARN, the culture and work was amazing. We had so much fun and the team were excellent to work with.
The challengesCommunication needs to improve. I feel like ARN has dropped the ball since they moved a lot of their operations overseas. It also feels like staff took a hit to cover radio hosts paychecks, which was truly disappointing! The vibe has changed unfortunately..

Was a great place to be a few years ago…
The good thingsEnjoyed working with some very talented people. The team made it a fun and inspiring place to work, until the redundancies began. Experienced colleagues replaced with cheap new team who are over worked and/or located in offshore Indian processing centres
The challengesBring essential functions back in house - it’s impossible to deal with the offshore contractors. Management need to recognise and nurture talent at all levels and not just focus on the $&

Once positive, a profit-driven shift and team tension reduced morale and promotion quality.
The good thingsFor a long time it was a positive and supportive workplace that genuinely valued client relationships and delivering quality campaigns for local businesses. However..
The challengesOver time there appeared to be a shift in priorities at the management level, with increased focus on financial outcomes and less emphasis on client care and long-term relationships. Internally, growing tension within the team — including workplace gossip and lack of open communication — began to affect morale and collaboration, making the environment less enjoyable to work in. As a result, it became more challenging to consistently deliver the high-quality promotions and service that clients had come to expect
