Great company to work for - never a dull day in the rental industry!The good thingsI honestly enjoyed working at Total Generators and was very grateful to all of the skills and experience that I gained from my employment. The encouragement and support I received from management and co-workers when I needed it was great. I worked quite closely with the Workshop Supervisor, Local BDM and Branch Manager and grew a close working relationship with all three. I really enjoyed the role itself and the diversity of tasks you experience each day. I would say it is definitely more of a rental co-ordinator role than admin as you are co-ordinating the rental hire from when it is confirmed by the customer through to the delivery to site and the off hire and return process. You are never bored and that's what I loved about this role!
The challengesIn my role, knowing how to handle difficult conversations and conflict is definitely an essential. I found that I had to grow very quickly as a person in learning to stand up for myself and supporting decisions I had made. I was lucky to have the support of the local team, key personnel in Head Office and Managing Director if I found myself in a difficult situation.
