Good enterprise but they rather have 20waiters that work 20hr a week and struggle than 10 with 40hr!
The good thingsMarriott is a good enterprise, they take good care of their employees
The challengesUnfortunately, in the interview they promise you enough hours but honestly if you are in your 2nd visa and you need your 6months eligible jobs, find a 2nd one... I stayed 4months and only work 3days/week (also it's not enough money to live in Port Douglas) so I had to find something else otherwise I would never get my 3rd visa. (and they know about the urgency of my situation)

A place where you can learn what to be and what not to become. Mental breakdown!
The good thingsYou'll meet wonderful diversity staffs, precisely waitress, waiters, banquet teams and "few" chefs. Great place to share and learn the good and the bad experiences and skills from one to another.
The challengesLack of communication between departement, overworked load, not organised. Don't feel supported and respected by Big people. Work environment is not safe for staff and not well provided, heaps of polishing to do but little BoH to share between 4 departments. Very stressful and unhealthy workplace.

    Rats, Roaches & Rude Managers
The good thingsColleagues (Other Food & Beverage Attendants and Supervisors)
The challengesThe F&B Manager was racially biased, unfair & promised growth opportunities that never came. Shift work was inconsistant and shifts were rarely worked to completion (sent home early most days/nights). There was also a Rat & Cockroach infestation in the main FOH restaurants left completely unattended
