What’s it like working at Lowes?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees appreciate the friendly and supportive colleagues at Lowes, creating a tight-knit team environment with strong bonds. The work/life balance is excellent with regular hours, and many value the opportunities for career progression from casual to management roles. The staff discount and supportive store management are also frequently praised.

However, there are some potential challenges, including concerns about upper management communication and decision-making, demanding workloads during peak periods with limited staffing, and remuneration being on the lower end for the work required. Communication from head office could be improved, and the schoolwear department presents particular demands during busy periods.

The challengesAfter dedicating over six years to this company, I was disappointed to see that, following a management change in the Schoolwear Department, support, trust, honesty, and teamwork had all but disappeared. It was disheartening to witness unqualified individuals being placed in positions as temporary fixes rather than based on merit. If you are seeking a workplace that genuinely supports career growth, values your skills, and respects you as an individual, this is not the place. Save your time and energy—look elsewhere.
