    Great Company and would return tomorrow if the right role presented itself.
    The good thingsI was recruited to Hatch to work on a large O&G giga project which was my first dedicated greenfield O&G project. Package was excellent and included bi-annual bonuses along with annual pay increases. Also, when made redundant the redundancy package was excellent. Plenty of good social events including frequent sundowners. Head office support was excellent with weekly check-ins and career progression was ongoing. The Project came with a fortnightly RDO which was amazing with a young family at the time. Hatch are definitely one of the last remaining destination EPCM companies left not only in Perth but Australia.
    The challengesAs with any Project-based organisation when the project matures redundancies are around the corner and after being looked at for a role in Canada that fell through that's what happened. There were a few non-performers who had to be kept on the Project under my remit who were totally useless that had to be kept on generating fee income for Hatch.

    Culture is probably the best aspect at Hatch. However, culture is not the only feature to consider when looking for a job. Unfortunately, flexibility, career progression and recognition were things that I found difficult to obtain during my journey in Hatch, and as a result of this, I ended up making the decision to leave the company.
    The good thingsCulture is the best at Hatch. Great colleagues and leaders to work with. Diversity and inclusion is definitely something that stands out in Hatch culture.
    The challengesFew opportunities for promotions. Bonus and salary review can be mysterious. No efforts to improve processes. Mandatory 5 days in office for everyone can be very overwhelming. Board of directors is obsolete and very flat structure with the organisation, quite old school.
