What’s it like working at CREATE Foundation?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees are passionate about the meaningful mission of CREATE Foundation, finding the work supporting young people with care experience deeply rewarding. The team culture is collegial and supportive, with passionate colleagues working collaboratively. Staff appreciate the excellent work/life balance and flexible working options, as well as the opportunity to work directly with young people and help them have a voice.

However, there are some potential challenges, including senior management being inconsistent and micromanaging at times, limited government funding affecting available resources, outdated IT systems that could be modernised, and staff turnover in some roles due to workload and management pressures.

Do not recommend. As someone who is highly skilled I felt like I was disposable
The good thingsThe small team and the young people you get to work with. Opportunities to work on interesting projects.
The challengesNational management micromanage the state teams and are punitive in the way they manage their staff. Job is based on KPIs and if you are not achieving them they don’t care. High staff turnover due to the lack of care they provide their staff. I left feeling overworked, unappreciated and burnt out. No opportunities for growth. For an organisation that works with young people a lot of their systems are outdated. Toxic work environment.
HR OfficerThanks for taking the time to provide a review. We’re sad to hear you had a negative experience and would have enjoyed the opportunity to chat with you prior to you leaving to tease out your concerns. Best of luck for the future.
