Property Manager

About the role

Walker & Co Realty is seeking an experienced Property Manager to join our team in Queenstown, Otago. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of residential properties ensuring they are well-maintained and leased to high-quality tenants, building strong relationships with landlords and tenants, and playing an active role in growing our property management business.

As a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week), the role offers flexibility and autonomy, making it ideal for an experienced Property Manager who is confident working independently while being part of a supportive and successful real estate team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residential rental properties, ensuring a high standard of service for landlords and tenants

• Coordinate property marketing, conducting viewings and liaising with prospective tenants

• Assess tenant applications, conduct reference and credit checks

• Prepare and execute tenancy agreements

• Manage the end-to-end move-in and move-out process for tenants

• Regularly inspect properties to ensure they are well-maintained

• Respond promptly to tenant inquiries and address any maintenance issues

• Collect rent payments and arrears management

• Coordinate and oversee property repairs and maintenance

• Provide regular reports and updates to landlords

About you

• At least 2 years' experience in residential property management

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with tenants and landlords

• Excellent organisational and time management abilities

• Proficient in using property management software and Microsoft Office suite

• Knowledge of relevant residential tenancy legislation and regulations

• Adaptable and able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Full NZ drivers license

• Legal right to work in New Zealand long term
