Territory Account Manager | Auckland North
With its office based in Hobsonville Point, Horticom is a leading distributor to the Hardware and Garden Centre industry. Established 30+ years ago providing only garden solutions, we have since grown into a multi-category business, where our products feature across mutiple categories in store.
There’s never a dull moment at Horticom, and we’re looking for our next Auckland North Territory Account Manager to join the team. This role was last available five years ago. Now it’s your chance to get out on the road, build strong customer relationships and make the territory your own.
What you’ll be doing
This isn’t a “drop off a catalogue and hope for the best” kind of role. You’ll combine relationship-building, sales and practical in-store support to grow your territory.
Your days will include:
Building strong relationships with buyers, store teams and key customer contacts.
Growing sales through existing accounts and identifying opportunities.
Making our products stand out through effective merchandising and displays.
Bringing products to life through demonstrations and in-store training.
Using sales data and CRM tools to plan your calls and maximise opportunities.
Working with our wider team to resolve customer queries and keep things moving.
What you’ll bring
Previous B2B sales experience will put you in good stead, and a background in hardware would be a definite advantage.
We’re looking for someone who:
Enjoys meeting people and building lasting business relationships.
Spots opportunities, asks for the business and follows through.
Is organised, proactive and comfortable managing their own territory.
Is happy rolling up their sleeves, whether that means a sales conversation or sorting a display.
Brings a willingness to learn, a practical approach and a sense of humour.
What’s in it for you?
Great tools, great perks and a team you’ll enjoy being part of.
Your package includes:
Competitive base salary and bonus
Company vehicle, phone and laptop
Birthday leave, because birthdays shouldn’t be all about sales calls
Generous staff buying privileges
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
More importantly, you’ll be joining a truly awesome team with a collaborative culture. A place where you can be yourself, feel valued and supported, and work alongside people who care about what they do.
