The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced National Sales & Service Manager to lead our sales and customer service teams across New Zealand. Based in Auckland, this pivotal leadership role is responsible for driving growth, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery nationwide. As a key member of our management team, you’ll lead by example, motivating and mentoring our customer service and sales representatives, setting strategic direction, and ensuring Matthews Packaging & Hygiene continues to exceed expectations in both sales performance and customer service.
Your Responsibilities
Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Lead, coach, and support a team of sales and service professionals across multiple regions.
Strengthen and expand relationships with key accounts while driving new business opportunities.
Monitor sales performance, reporting on KPIs and ensuring targets are met.
Oversee customer service operations, ensuring a consistently high standard of delivery.
Collaborate with the wider management team to align sales and service goals with company objectives.
Represent Matthews Packaging & Hygiene at industry events and with key partners.
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, ideally within packaging, hygiene, or FMCG industries.
Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and grow high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Commercial acumen and confidence in setting and achieving ambitious sales targets.
A strategic mindset, balanced with a hands-on, practical approach.
Experience with Oracle NetSuite systems
Strong technology and reporting skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexibility to travel nationwide as required.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at our Mangere head office. We require attendance at the office. Due to the hands-on and collaborative nature of our work, being physically present with the team is essential. It ensures you're immersed in our products, projects, and people - allowing your work to have genuine impact in our fast-paced environment.
