Sales Manager - Separation Technologies (Oceania Region)

The Opportunity:
This is a rare and exciting commercial leadership opportunity to take ownership of the Oceania Separation Technologies business, with responsibility for driving growth across both the New Zealand and Australian markets.
You will lead market development, drive strategic account growth, and oversee forecasting and business planning across the region. In addition, you will provide leadership, coaching, and direction to two experienced sales professionals in Australia, while holding responsibility for regional sales targets, budgets, and overall performance.
In New Zealand, you will take a proactive, customer-facing approach to developing the Separation Technologies market. This will include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across Food & Beverage production environments, building relationships with key processors and manufacturers, and working closely with customers to understand their production challenges and identify value-based solutions. You will also work closely with internal technical and engineering teams to support strategic opportunities and drive market growth.
Based in Hamilton, this role will involve travel across New Zealand, along with regular travel to Australia, working closely with customers, partners, and internal global teams.
The Role – Responsibilities
Take ownership of the Separation Technologies business across New Zealand and Australia
Define and implement growth strategies to drive market development across Oceania
Drive growth across Food & Beverage production environments (e.g. Dairy, Meat, Protein, Seafood, Juice, etc)
Lead strategic account development and strengthen relationships with key customers
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the region
Hold responsibility for regional sales targets, budgets, and overall performance
Lead forecasting, business planning, market analysis, and performance tracking
Manage, coach, and develop two experienced sales professionals in Australia
Foster a proactive, customer-focused sales culture across the region
Lead value-based selling and support complex capital equipment opportunities
Collaborate with Marketing on commercial activities, campaigns, and events
Work closely with sales support, engineering, and technical teams to develop tailored solutions and deliver customer outcomes
Oversee quotation and proposal development, commercial negotiations, and project delivery
Travel across New Zealand and Australia to support customers and team members
About You:
Proven experience in technical or capital equipment sales leadership
Experience selling into Food & Beverage or process manufacturing environments
Background in separation technologies, process equipment, or industrial machinery would be advantageous
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and sales targets
Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring sales teams
Strategic mindset with the ability to drive growth and market development
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage at senior stakeholder level
Experience managing long sales cycles and complex solution-based opportunities
Comfortable working across regions and collaborating with global teams
Self-motivated, hands-on, and commercially driven leadership style
Able to travel nationally and internationally, spending time with the Australian sales team
