About the role
We’re looking for a PhD-qualified Associated Medical Writer to join our Dunedin office. This is an early-career role, designed for candidates transitioning from research/academia into the global pharmaceutical industry. You’ll turn complex scientific and clinical information into high-quality content for international audiences, and work closely with experienced writers, world-leading clinical researchers and multinational pharmaceutical company clients.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a fast-tracked career in medical communications, gaining international experience and access to a highly specialised industry that generally has high barriers to entry.
About you
You are detail-oriented, analytically strong, and enjoy translating complex scientific information into clear, accurate content. You bring:
A PhD in a biomedical science
Excellent written communication skills, with impeccable spelling and grammar
Ability to critically analyse scientific data for accuracy and consistency
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Experience or interest in pharmacology is advantageous
