About the role

We’re looking for a PhD-qualified Associated Medical Writer to join our Dunedin office. This is an early-career role, designed for candidates transitioning from research/academia into the global pharmaceutical industry. You’ll turn complex scientific and clinical information into high-quality content for international audiences, and work closely with experienced writers, world-leading clinical researchers and multinational pharmaceutical company clients.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a fast-tracked career in medical communications, gaining international experience and access to a highly specialised industry that generally has high barriers to entry. 

About you
You are detail-oriented, analytically strong, and enjoy translating complex scientific information into clear, accurate content. You bring:

  • A PhD in a biomedical science 

  • Excellent written communication skills, with impeccable spelling and grammar

  • Ability to critically analyse scientific data for accuracy and consistency

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

  • Experience or interest in pharmacology is advantageous
