Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Programme Manager to lead and deliver high-quality education in our online Immigration programme portfolio. This role blends strategic programme management with people leadership, ensuring excellence in teaching, ākonga success, and future-focused curriculum development.

You will lead and manage the planning, delivery, compliance, financial forecasting and continuous improvement of Immigration. You’ll also mentor and support kaiako, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration and innovation. Central to this role is supporting the commitment of Toi Ohomai to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity, and inclusive, culturally grounded practice.

This role works closely with the Head of School and other Programme Managers to drive performance, build partnerships, and contribute to the strategic direction of Toi Ohomai.

Ngā mahi | Key Responsibilities

· Lead the strategic and operational delivery and development of the Immigration programmes, ensuring academic quality, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organisational goals. 

· Develop, lead and mentor academic staff to enhance teaching practice and learner outcomes.

· Build strong relationships with iwi, hapū, industry, schools and community stakeholders to ensure programme relevance and growth. 

· Champion a learner-centred approach, embedding Mātauranga Māori and inclusive practices. 

· Contribute to research, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

· A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· A relevant teaching qualification and evidence of ongoing professional development.

· Proven experience in tertiary education, programme leadership, and team management. 

· Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to Māori success. 

· Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills. 

· A strong alignment with our values of Toitūtanga, Manaakitanga, Whanaungatanga, and Kotahitanga, which guide how we work, care, connect, and pursue excellence together.
