The Bay of Plenty Regional Council is seeking a passionate Digital Workplace Support champion to empower our employees through technology to be a future-ready workforce. By providing engaging training and support, aligned with our Digital Plan and Roadmap, you’ll help to build our people’s capabilities and confidence in leveraging digital workplace technologies. This role is integral in enabling our staff to maximise the benefits of our technology, contributing to our community outcomes. Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Regularly analysing and addressing organisation-wide technology training and learning needs of our staff.
- Design, develop and deliver comprehensive learning and development programs aligned with our Digital Plan and Technology Roadmap, accommodating various learning styles and new technology.
Ō pūmanawa | Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should embrace change and manage multiple training programmes simultaneously. You will excel in managing relationships, work effectively in a collaborative environment, and demonstrate responsiveness and autonomy. We are seeking someone who is a quick learner who can grow into this role, continually developing their knowledge and skills with the potential for additional responsibilities being given over time.
We are also looking for someone with:
- A Degree or Diploma level 6 qualification in a Digital, Technology, Training, Communications or other relevant discipline.
- At least four years’ relevant experience in a role that requires technology or digital expertise.
- At least two years of experience in IT training or similar roles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Learning and Development delivery and channels.
- An understanding of operational technologies used in an enterprise environment.
- Skills in analysing, designing and developing online learning modules.
- Project Management and facilitation skills are desirable.
- Understanding of e-learning modules is preferred.
