Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki | Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA) has been a trusted provider of high-quality early childhood education for over 100 years. With 112 kindergartens and KiNZ centres across Tāmaki Makaurau, we are committed to providing accessible, inclusive and culturally responsive education for tamariki and whānau.
About Glendowie Kindergarten
At Glendowie Kindergarten, we celebrate tamariki as unique individuals and value the diverse cultures and experiences they bring to our learning community. Strong, respectful relationships are at the heart of our practice, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where tamariki and whānau feel a deep sense of belonging.
We are proud of our Green-Gold Enviroschools status and our strong commitment to sustainability and kaitiakitanga. Tamariki regularly explore our local environment through walks to nearby parks, shops and cafes, building connections with Papatūānuku and our wider community.
Our kaiako foster manaakitanga which is at the heart of our teaching philosophy. We support tamariki to develop curiosity, independence and social competence through a play-based, inquiry-led approach.
