An opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Accountant to lead the Corporate Reporting function. This role combines technical depth with strategic influence — ensuring robust statutory reporting, financial integrity, and strong business partnering across the organisation.

Non-Negotiables

  • Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ or equivalent).
  • 5+ years’ experience across financial and management reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring finance professionals.
  • Strong statutory reporting and external audit management experience.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.
  • Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards and legislative frameworks.
  • Confident stakeholder engagement skills, including at senior leadership level.
Desirables
  • Local government or wider public sector experience. Happy to consider private or CA environments with the right motivations.
  • Exposure to infrastructure accounting and asset management frameworks.
  • Experience contributing to multi-year financial strategies (e.g. Long Term Plans).
  • Track record of strengthening internal controls and driving process improvement.
  • Understanding of public sector governance environments.
