Vitaco is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we’re seeking an exceptional Warehouse Team Leader to play a critical role in our Night Shift operations (10.00pm to 6.30am). This is a senior, hands‑on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in fast‑paced manufacturing environments and takes pride in leading high‑performing teams from the floor.

As a key leader within our warehouse operation, you’ll take ownership of the production picking function, ensure safe and efficient execution, and act as a trusted escalation point for inwards operations when required. Your leadership will directly influence service levels, team engagement, and operational excellence.

This role has a salary up to $100,000 for the right candidate, with an additional night shift allowance.

Key Responsibilities | He kōrero mō te tūranga

This is more than a supervisory role — it’s a chance to shape culture, performance, and capability on night shift.

  • Lead and Inspire: Serve as an effective leader by managing a team of 12 to 15 employees, while maintaining clear communication and fostering motivation in collaboration with management.
  • Ensure Safety & Compliance: Champion health and safety, uphold quality standards, and promptly report and investigate incidents.
  • Drive Operational Efficiency: Oversee daily operations, meet delivery targets, and solve problems as they arise.
  • Promote Continuous Improvement: Implement process enhancements and foster a Kaizen culture.
  • Develop & Manage Performance: Mentor, coach, and build team cohesion, focusing on skill development.

About You | Mōu ake

You are a confident, credible leader who leads by example and is respected on the floor.

  • Proven leadership experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of health & safety, quality systems, and operational compliance
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP or NAV advantageous)
  • A continuous improvement mindset with experience in Kaizen, 5S, GEMBA, and CI tools
  • Structured problem‑solver with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to balance service, cost, and people outcomes
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Comfortable leading teams on night shift in a high‑accountability environment
