Maintenance Officer

Northbridge | Full-time (40 hours per week)

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Officer to support the day-to-day care and upkeep of our Northbridge facilities.

This is a practical, people-focused role where no two days are the same. You’ll be carrying out maintenance tasks, coordinating repairs, and ensuring everything runs smoothly — helping create a safe, comfortable environment for our residents.

Just as important, you’ll bring a warm, respectful approach. Our residents enjoy a good yarn, so being approachable and compassionate is key.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out scheduled, preventative, and reactive maintenance

• Troubleshooting issues and resolving repairs efficiently

• Coordinating contractors and supporting maintenance activities

• Ensuring buildings, systems, and equipment are safe and well maintained

• Following strong health & safety practices across the site

• Keeping clear records and reporting on maintenance activities

What you’ll bring

• Experience in maintenance, facilities, or property environments

• Strong practical skills using hand and power tools

• Good understanding of building maintenance and repair work

• A reliable, can-do attitude with solid problem-solving ability

• Strong time management and ability to work independently

• A professional, respectful approach with good communication skills

• Comfort working in a diverse team environment

• A genuine respect for and ability to engage with elderly residents
