Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

As a General Practitioner (GP), you will provide high-quality, holistic care across our East Coast communities, working within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team.

This role includes:

  • Providing general practice and urgent care services

  • Supporting continuity of care for whānau and communities

  • Working across our coastal clinics and Te Puia Springs Hospital

  • Contributing to a team-based, integrated model of care

  • Participation in a shared on-call roster, with flexibility and team support

You will be part of a service grounded in kaupapa Māori, where relationships, trust, and continuity of care are central to how we work.

  • Base yourself in Tūranganui-a-Kiwa (Gisborne) and commute

  • Fellowship with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (or equivalent), or working towards

  • Current APC and eligibility to practice in Aotearoa

  • A commitment to rural and/or Māori health outcomes

  • Strong clinical capability and sound judgement

  • A collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a team
