Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
As a General Practitioner (GP), you will provide high-quality, holistic care across our East Coast communities, working within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team.
This role includes:
Providing general practice and urgent care services
Supporting continuity of care for whānau and communities
Working across our coastal clinics and Te Puia Springs Hospital
Contributing to a team-based, integrated model of care
Participation in a shared on-call roster, with flexibility and team support
You will be part of a service grounded in kaupapa Māori, where relationships, trust, and continuity of care are central to how we work.

Fellowship with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (or equivalent), or working towards
Current APC and eligibility to practice in Aotearoa
A commitment to rural and/or Māori health outcomes
Strong clinical capability and sound judgement
A collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a team
Most importantly, you will value whānau-centred care, relationships, and community impact.
