For more than 50 years, Intelligro has supplied high-quality growing media to horticultural growers and nurseries across the South Island. These long-standing relationships form the foundation of our business.
Alongside this core expertise, we supply a wide range of landscape materials including mulches, soils, and bulk landscape products, along with our Safefall playground surfacing used in parks, schools, and community spaces.
As land development and landscape projects continue to grow across the region, we see increasing opportunities to contribute our products and expertise to customers ranging from residential developments, commercial and industrial developments, through to large public spaces.
We are looking for someone who can care for our existing customers while developing new relationships across the horticultural, landscape and development sectors.
The Opportunity
This role combines key account management and business development.
Your focus will be to:
Maintain strong relationships with existing horticultural customers including growers and nurseries
Ensure key accounts feel supported and well looked after
Identify opportunities for our growing media and landscape materials
Build relationships with landscape contractors, designers, and specifiers
Develop connections with developers and civil contractors to understand upcoming projects
Position the company to be considered for future landscape and development projects
Success in this role comes from building trusted relationships across the horticulture, landscaping, and development communities.
About You
You are someone who enjoys working with people and building long-term professional relationships.
You may come from industries such as:
Horticulture or nursery production
Landscape supply or landscape contracting
Irrigation, turf, or sports-field industries
Civil construction supply
Quarry or aggregate supply
Agricultural or horticultural inputs
You will bring:
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
The ability to manage key customer relationships while identifying new opportunities
A well-organised and self-motivated approach
Existing industry relationships or networks within horticulture, landscaping, civil construction, or land development would be highly valued.

Additional Information
Monday to Friday role
Out of town sales trips and conferences within the South Island, with growth opportunity of travel into lower North Island
Company vehicle and tools of the trade provided
