Certified Welder / Axle Assembly Person
TATES NZ is a privately owned Company based in Papakura, South Auckland, we import & distribute New Heavy Transport Components from Europe, the USA, Australia & Asia.
We are currently looking for a Certified Weldere to join our Papkura based team, you will be responsible for Welding New Suspension Components to New Heavy Trailer Axles, Assembling Suspensions to Axles & up-grading Axles where required.
This role offers the opportunity to work as a part of our “close’ knit efficient team in a privately owned company where you are more than just a number.
Key responsibilities in the role will cover:
Welding Suspension Seats to new Trailer Axles & assembling Suspension Components to Axles
Upgrading new Trailer Axles – fitting Tyre Pressure Inflation Systems to Axles & fitting Electronic Braking System Components where required
General Workshop, Welding & Warehouse duties where required.
To be considered for this position you will have ideally have had experience in a similar role & a basic Mechanical understanding.
To be successful in this role you will need:
A current AS/NZS290 or ISO9066-1 Welding Certificate
The ability to read & understand specific Welding Instructions
To be reliable – able to come to work 5 days per week, being a relatively small company reliability is key to the success of TATES NZ.
Have attention to detail & accuracy.
Tidy work habits & appearance
Sound skills in English & Math’s
Have enthusiasm with a positive attitude & an ability to learn
