Family Law Solicitor - 1- 3 PQE
Permanent, Full-time- Christchurch (30 to 37. 5 hours a week).
At Sumit Kumar Law, we are focussed on doing family law differently. We are a boutique firm law practise located around the outskirts of the Christchurch CBD. We focus on providing tailored and practical advice to our clients whilst being compassionate and professional at the same time.

We are seeking a junior lawyer, with 1- 3 PQE to join our small team.
About the role:
This is a varied, hands-on role for an experienced and confident family lawyer who enjoys both the technical challenge of family law and the human side of practice.
You will work across the full spectrum of family law matters, including:
Relationship property and trust property;
Contracting Out Agreements;
Separation Agreements;
Care of children and parenting disputes;
Family Violence proceedings;
Paternity issues;
Oranga Tamariki matters;
Family Protection Act claims; and
PPPR and adoption.
You will provide strategic advice, draft complex family court documents, represent clients in court, mediations and negotiations, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
You will also have the opportunity to:
build and manage your own client base.
contribute to the growth and profile of the firm.
support marketing initiatives and firm projects.
work under the supervision of the principal lawyer of the firm, but equally have the independence to manage your files.
