IT Support Specialist – Join Our Growing Team

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, skilled IT Support Specialist to be a key part of our operations team. This role is part‑time (20 hours per week initially) and offers a balanced mix of project delivery and support work, ideal for someone who enjoys configuring and managing systems as much as providing high‑quality client support.

You will be the first point of contact for our clients while also taking ownership of specific products and systems within the business, ensuring they are configured correctly, operating efficiently, and secured to a high standard.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver outstanding customer service with a calm, professional manner

  • Provide client support via phone, email, and remote tools

  • Configure, manage, and maintain key systems and products used across the business

  • Ensure systems are operating efficiently, securely, and in line with best practice

  • Split your time approximately 50:50 between project work and support activities

  • Troubleshoot Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and general technical issues

  • Perform root‑cause analysis and implement long‑term solutions

  • Maintain strong cybersecurity awareness across all work

  • Build rapport quickly and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical users

  • Work autonomously while contributing positively to the wider team

  • Analyse data and reports to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities

What You Bring

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in IT support or help desk roles

  • Microsoft 365 certification and a recognised cybersecurity certification

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong customer service background (remote support experience preferred)

  • Proven technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability

  • Experience configuring and managing Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 (SharePoint / Intune a bonus)

  • Familiarity with Mac support preferred

  • Bonus experience: Kaseya stack, SharePoint, compliance or security tooling

  • Ability to manage time effectively and stay calm under pressure

Must Haves

  • Clean criminal record

  • Permanent legal right to work in New Zealand
