Construction Administration Team Leader

About the role:

As Construction Administration Team Leader, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of our construction projects by leading high quality, value adding administrative support across the Construction Division.

Reporting to the Systems Administration Manager (Construction), this role blends hands on administration, process improvement, and people leadership. You’ll ensure construction activities are well supported, information is accurate and accessible, and systems and processes continue to improve as we grow.

This role is based in Wellington.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Provide end‑to‑end administrative support across the Construction division, supporting both project delivery and BAU activity

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and supporting business administration improvement initiatives from planning through to implementation and ongoing maintenance

  • Coordinate meetings, including preparing papers , coordinate minutes and actions,

  • Maintaining construction documentation, templates, registers and reports

  • Develop and maintain regular construction administration reporting, including monthly reports

  • Organise and coordinate central administration procurement activities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with construction leaders, site teams, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers

  • Lead by example and manage task allocation to ensure balanced workloads within the team

About you:

You’re an experienced and organised administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’re proactive, detail focused, and confident working with a wide range of stakeholders across both office and site setting and have a desire to progress into team leadership.

You’ll also bring:

  • Medium to advanced capability across the Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience working with construction documentation or document control processes

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • A practical, common‑sense approach to problem solving

  • Construction industry experience is advantageous but not essential
