Lifeguard

It’s fun to work at The Y! 

We are looking for a Lifeguard to join our team at Panmure Lagoon Pool and Leisure Centre. This is a great part time role offering a minimum of 12 hours per week over a Wednesday and Saturday.

What will you be doing?

• Monitor the recreation facility make sure swimmers are following safety rules

• Rescue or assist a swimmer who is in trouble

• Make sure pool equipment is kept organised and in good condition

• Keep the pool area clean and safe

• Be responsible for pool maintenance e.g. Conduct pool water tests

• Perform basic first aid

What experience/skills do you need?

• Be a confident swimmer

• Required Qualifications: Support to gain required qualifications can be provided

• PLSA (Pool Lifeguard Skills Award)

• PLPC (Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate)

• First Aid
