We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to take ownership of a busy, multi-process production facility in Christchurch. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for delivering output, building a strong team culture, and driving operational excellence across the factory.
This opportunity will suit someone with 10+ years’ experience running a manufacturing site, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing people leadership with practical problem solving.
  
The Role:

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of manufacturing operations across a mixed production environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output.

Key focus areas include:

• Leading daily production across multiple manufacturing streams
• Delivering output in line with demand, forecasts, and deadlines
• Managing workflow, labour, and production scheduling
• Driving efficiency across machinery, materials, and team utilisation
• Building a strong, accountable, and engaged factory team
• Maintaining high standards across quality, safety, and compliance
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Overseeing equipment performance and maintenance planning
• Communicating effectively with internal teams to ensure alignment

  
About You:

You’re a proven manufacturing leader who knows how to get the best out of people and processes.

You will bring:

• Extensive experience (ideally 10+ years) leading factory operations
• A strong track record managing production teams in a manufacturing environment
• The ability to lead across multiple production lines or disciplines
• A hands-on, practical approach with a solutions-focused mindset
• Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills
• Confidence managing performance, coaching, and developing staff

Highly regarded:

• Experience in sheet metal, rubber, or plastics manufacturing
• Exposure to multi-process manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and quality systems
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
