The Role
This is a full-time position (Monday–Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm) based at our well-equipped Hastings premises in sunny Hawke’s Bay. You will manage the entire stores job flow—from the moment raw materials arrive to the final dispatch of finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics: Physically checking goods in/out and using our in-house ERP system for data entry.
Dispatch: Carefully packing and wrapping precision parts for local and offshore transport.
Inventory: Managing KANBAN stock ordering and maintaining an inventory overview.
Operations: Operating forklifts and gantries to move materials, plus handling local deliveries and pickups.
Maintenance: Overseeing site cleanliness and our recycling programme.
Requirements:
Attitude: A proactive, "can-do" approach and the ability to work closely with the leadership and engineering team.
Physical Fitness: This is a physically demanding role; you must be fit and healthy.
Skills: Good computer literacy, excellent time management (for unsupervised work), and a clean driver’s license.
Certification: A current Forklift license is an advantage, though we can provide training for the right candidate.
Eligibility: Must be a NZ Citizen/Permanent Resident or hold a valid NZ work visa.
We offer competitive rates of pay, interesting and varied work and a supportive and great team-working environment. We also provide uniform, PPE and health insurance for all full-time staff. Check out our website www.we-can.co.nz and give some thought to what you can bring to the We Can team.
