This role is based our Christchurch office and would suit someone who is looking to take on a dynamic senior role within our audit team.

Relationship management both internally and externally is a key part of working with Ashton Wheelans, as a business we work closely with our clients to build strong relationships in order to break away from the 'once per year' interaction and provide a value-added service beyond mere compliance or assurance. 

You will be working directly with the Audit Partners and Manager in charge on each job and be responsible for workflow planning, and client relationship management ensuring our audit calendar gets planned and delivered to on time and to a high quality.

Knowledge and Experience

• At least 4+ years audit experience in a NZ based Chartered Accountancy firm

• A thorough understanding of Financial Reporting and Assurance standards

• Not-for-Profit experience would also add value as we act for a number of these entities

• Experience with Xero and/or Audit Assistant would also add value

• An eye for detail

• Experience managing workflow and planning jobs

• Have exceptional communication and presentation skills

• Able to have meaningful and engaging conversations with clients about their business, not just the numbers.
