Part time Occupational Health Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Registered Nurse to join our team, 20 hours per week, days and times by negotiation with the right person.

Health Tick is a service line of an existing business with a large nationwide client base and clinics across New Zealand.  We are looking for an Experienced Registered Nurse with strong clinical experience and a passion for Occupational Health to join our team.  With a variety of services being offered including Pre-Employment Medicals, Drug Testing, Annual Health Monitoring and Workplace Vaccinations.  No single day is the same.

  • Ideally based in Rotorua.

  • From time to time the role will involve travel and work around the Bay of Plenty.

The Ideal Candidate

  • NZ Nurse Qualifications and experience working in Occupational Health preferred but not compulsory.

  • Experience providing several different services - pre-employment medicals, annual health monitoring, wellness checks, workplace vaccinations, phlebotomy.

  • Strong clinical background.

  • Motivates to practice in the filed of Workplace Health.

  • A fantastic attitude to do the best for the client.

  • A team player with strong management, time management & interpersonal skills.

  • Flexible, with the ability to roll with any changes to the best laid plans.

  • Strong computer skills is a must and the ability to think outside the square.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills and attention to detail.

You will have a:

  • Tertiary Nursing qualification.

  • Current New Zealand Nursing Council Registration.

  • Full NZ Drivers License.

  • Independent vaccinator and phlebotomy and drug testing experience is preferred but not essential.

  • Comfortable driving the Health Tick Van.

Full training and ongoing support will be given will be required to complete a pre-employment drug hair test, medical & criminal history check.  The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
