About the role
As a carpenter at LPC, you will be responsible for carpentry maintenance services to various Port operational areas by maintaining the structural integrity of the company’s infrastructure and wharf assets. The role will entail a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance of both timber and concrete wharves, along with some building maintenance. The role will have you working in a mainly outdoor environment, at times in confined spaces, and under wharves in work boats.
What will set you apart
This is not your typical carpenter role. You will be a trade qualified carpenter, who enjoys working in all elements and who is comfortable to work on or near water and at heights. You will be experienced in using a range of timber machining tools, as well as in fabrication and construction of bespoke parts, components and structures.
- Trade Qualified Carpenter
- Experience in a Port Environment is desirable
- Experience in civil works (particularly concrete) and use of mobile plant will be beneficial
- Ability to work independently as well as playing your role in a close-knit team during your shifts
- Team Player where safety is paramount

Pre-employment Requirements
LPC require all successful candidates to pass a Pre-employment assessment which includes a Health Assessment, a Drug and Alcohol Test, Pre-Employment Ministry of Justice Check, a TORO check and a Pre-employment ACC Check.
