Sales & Account Manager - Water Treatment Solutions

ProMinent New Zealand is part of the global ProMinent Group - a world leader in fluid metering, water treatment, and disinfection solutions. We deliver innovative equipment and services to customers across municipal water, wastewater, food & beverage, aquatics, and industrial sectors.
 
We're looking for a driven Sales & Account Manager who thrives on hunting new business, building strong relationships and growing key customer accounts.  This is a customer facing role focused on revenue growth, proactive account management and providing outstanding support to our clients. 
 
You'll be managing accounts and developing new business across the South Island, while being based in ProMinent's Rangiora office.  The majority of your time will be spent in the market, visiting customers, building relationships and actively driving growth.
 
Key duties - Sales & Business Development
  • Manage and grow an established portfolio of customers across the South Island
  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities, particularly within Aquatics (swimming pools), municipal water and wastewater, food & beverage and industrial sectors
  • Drive revenue growth through a mix of equipment (boxed product sales), service and aftermarket support, engineered and project-based solutions
  • Develop strong, long-term customer relationships through regular site visits and engagement
  • Assist with preparing and presenting proposals, quotations, and tenders
  • Work closely with internal engineering and technical teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
 
What we're looking for
  • Proven experience in sales and account management, including new business development
  • Experience in water treatment, industrial equipment, pumps or technical products preferred
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Comfortable prospecting, cold calling, and creating your own pipeline
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage your territory independently
  • Practical mindset with a customer-first approach
  • Experience with MS products, SAP and C4C experience would be an advantage
  • Trade qualification or engineering background advantageous but not essential
  • Full NZ driver's licence and willingness to travel
