The Role

Reporting to the QA & Technical Manager, this role is responsible providing quality and technical expertise to the company to ensure products remain safe and compliant and best practices are followed. Ensuring relevant training is completed and maintaining updates and control of all the Food Safety Programme and Quality documentations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Manage the review process for all documentations including policies, SOP and SSOP. Create SOP as and when required

·         Maintain a detailed understanding of the manufacturing lines and associated HACCP risks and assist with the HACCP Review process.

·         Lead the site Sanitation validation & verification program: CIP validation, SSOP validation, Master sanitation schedule is completed, sanitation audits.

·         Manage internal training planning and execution. Carry out In House GMP, Quality and compliant training sessions

·         Responsible for internal auditing, Validation and Verification programmes: GMP, Sanitation, CCP. Lead internal GMP audit program and track NC and CAPA. Conduct RCA.

·         Assist in the Product Positive Release process ensuring Finished Goods are appropriately held and released in line with quality requirement and accurate HOLD log records

·         Manage pest control programme

·         Assist in retaining BRC Excellent rating and customer specific audit standards

·         Assist in driving Food Safety Culture for the site

·         Comply with Company’s Food Safety and Quality policies to ensure the quality of the finished products

·         Comply with all GSF Health and Safety policies, procedures, processes and standards always

We are looking for someone who will bring the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

Essential

·         Relevant tertiary qualification in Food Science or related field

·         Minimum 2 years’ experience in all aspects of quality assurance in a food manufacturing environment.

·         Ideally experience in a facility using CIP.

·         Advanced HACCP

·         Knowledge of NZ regulations and international legislation

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Communicate effectively with internal and external customers verbally and in writing

·         Strong computer efficiency (MSOffice)

·         Awareness of legal obligations

·         Continuous Improvement

·         Compliance Management

·         Good Manufacturing experience
