About the opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Case Manager in our Disability Claims team. You will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and high‑quality claims outcomes, while supporting customers through the challenging times of their lives.
You will perform end to end management of a portfolio of injury and illness claims, applying accuracy to each of your work tasks and executing with openness and empathy; to ensure competent, fair, and customer focused decisions are delivered.
As a Case Manager, you will:
Assess and pro-actively manage a portfolio of injury and illness disability claims
Make and effectively communicate decisions in line with policy wording and company guidelines
Review and interpret complex medical and financial information
Perform payment calculations and ensure payments are made on time
Provide excellent customer service to clients and advisers
Manage client relationships in an empathetic and professional manner
Manage provider relationships in a professional manner
About you
You are an experienced Claims or Case Manager with resilience and the ability to communicate and empathise with vulnerable customers.
Besides your technical capabilities, you are an outstanding customer service professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You will also bring:
Case management experience – Disability Insurance or ACC
Strong analytical and mathematical capability
Knowledge of business structures and accounting practices
Ability to interpret and apply policy wordings and legal contracts
Ability to meaningfully interpret medical information
Understanding of the vocational demands of a broad range of vocations
Strong problem‑solving skills sound risk awareness
Strong time management and attention to detail
An action‑oriented, outcomes‑focused approach
