This hands-on role coordinates and supports product supply across all our sales channels including General Book Trade, School Book Club, School Book Fairs, School Essentials and Books in Homes.
About the Role:
As our Supply Chain Inventory Coordinator, you’ll be the backbone of our operations, managing inventory across multiple business lines and ensuring seamless supply chain coordination. You’ll work with our Book Club sales forecasts, coordinate with global and local freight forwarders, and maintain strong relationships with external publishers, suppliers, and affiliate businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Book Club sales and demand forecasting, including coordinating reorder meetings, determining stock requirements and selecting appropriate freight methods.
Coordinate with freight forwarders across Scholastic’s global network and maintain accurate shipping details.
Assist in overseeing product management across multiple business lines.
Liaise with external publishers, suppliers, and Scholastic affiliates to source products and ensure timely delivery.
Raise and follow up on purchase orders, managing freight logistics for outstanding orders.
Source products within our global publishing network.
Collaborate closely with the book buyers, customer service, production, and warehousing teams.
Work within ERP systems to manage product lists, supply details, and inventory.

Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite experience highly desirable).
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerBI.
Knowledge of freight logistics would be an advantage.
Business acumen and commercial awareness desirable.
