About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a junior to intermediate financial adviser to join our growing Hawke’s Bay team.

This role has a strong focus on life and health insurance advice, with KiwiSaver forming a secondary component that will be supported through training and development.

You will be supported with consistent lead flow, strong systems, and experienced mentors, allowing you to focus on delivering quality advice and building your capability as an adviser.

We operate with a modern, forward thinking approach, using AI and automated advice tools to improve efficiency, enhance the client experience, and allow advisers to spend more time where it matters most.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing life and health insurance advice to new and existing clients

  • Supporting clients with KiwiSaver advice, with full training provided

  • Managing client relationships and delivering a high standard of ongoing service

  • Converting pre qualified leads and inbound enquiries

  • Delivering advice through video calls and digital channels

  • Developing broader advice capability over time

You will be working closely with a collaborative team of advisers and support staff, all aligned around achieving strong outcomes for clients.

Remuneration

  • Base salary: 65k to 85k depending on experience

  • Commission: 20% upfront on new business

KiwiSaver

  • 20% ongoing trail or adviser fee

  • Paid after 24 months of continuous employment

  • Income builds over time and can grow significantly from year 3 onwards as your client base develops

Expected earnings

  • Junior: 90k to 120k

  • Intermediate: 110k to 150k+

Experience & Requirements

  • New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 is required

  • KiwiSaver experience beneficial but not essential

  • Strong computer skills and confidence using modern systems

  • Comfortable working with AI tools and new advice technology

  • Comfortable delivering advice via video calls and digital channels

  • Strong communication and relationship skills

  • Professional, organised, and client focused

  • Willingness to learn and develop
