Teacher Aide – Sunnyvale Kindergarten (Permanent Part-time – 10 hours/week)

The Role:

We are seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic Teacher Aide to join our dedicated team on a permanent, part-time basis (10 hours per week). Your role will involve assisting the teaching team in maintaining a beautiful learning environment, supporting routine activities with the tamariki, and ensuring resources are organised. We value energy, initiative, flexibility, and strong ICT skills to support documentation preparation. We are looking for someone who is also able to provide support for neuro diverse tamariki as well as additional learning needs as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in working with young tamariki, preferably in a Kindergarten or Early Childhood Education setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to listen, explain, and build positive relationships.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, tolerance, and perseverance are essential qualities.
  • Commitment to delivering a high-quality AKA Kindergarten service aligned with our philosophy of learning through play.
  • Team player with attention to detail, confidentiality, and an understanding of AKA’s mission and values.
