Key Responsibilities:
As a Drainage Labourer / Ground Worker, your duties may include:
- Assisting in the installation of stormwater, wastewater, and sewerage systems
- Trenching, backfilling, and compacting
- Pipe laying and preparation of bedding material
- Site preparation, levelling, and ground compaction
- Spotting for machinery operators and assisting with machine movement
- Use of power tools and small plant as required
- Maintaining a clean and safe work site
- Supporting the wider team and following site health & safety protocols
- Minimum 6–12 months experience in civil construction (drainage experience preferred)
- WTR endorsements (Wheels, Tracks, Rollers) – desirable
- Class 2 licence – advantageous
- Experience operating small machinery (excavators, loaders, compactors) – a bonus
- Physically fit and capable of manual, outdoor work in varying conditions
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Competitive hourly rate, paid weekly (rates based on experience)
- Consistent full-time hours, Monday to Friday with potential overtime
