Stockperson
Join Zeagold, New Zealand’s largest egg producer, and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations across our free-range egg farm in the Oamaru area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys routine, hands-on work and being part of a supportive team.
About the Role
You’ll help maintain bird health, ensure smooth shed operations, and caring for our free-range birds. The work is steady, structured, and meaningful, with full training provided
Your responsibilities include:
· Provide daily care and husbandry for free-range hens
· Monitor bird health and wellbeing
· Assist with egg collection and processing activities
· Maintain high standards of hygiene, biosecurity and safety
· Carry out general housekeeping in sheds and work areas
· Work collaboratively with the wider team
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
· Reliable, motivated and consistent
· Available to work Tuesday - Saturday roster shift
· Comfortable with practical, outdoor work
· Willing to learn and grow — training provided
· A positive team player with good communication
Committed to animal welfare and farm standards
Full driver’s licence
Previous farm or animal-care experience is an advantage, but not essential.
