The Opportunity
We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented Expedition Operations Coordinator to join our robust dynamic team and help us deliver these extraordinary expeditions
Operational Coordination
- Coordinate logistics for expedition voyages including shore excursions, transportation, accommodation, and provisioning.
- Support operational planning and execution for our vessels
- Arrange travel and logistical requirements for crew and guests.
- Ensure timely delivery of supplies and services required for each expedition.
- Maintain a strong working relationships with key suppliers including food vendors, tour operators, transport providers, and accommodation partners.
- Assist with operational documentation including manifests, itineraries, run sheets, and voyage records.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication with operational stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices to suppliers
- Coordinate crew travel, accommodation, and operational requirements.
- Support vessel operations and ensure crew have the resources required to deliver expeditions successfully.
- Assist with coordination of maintenance periods in collaboration with the Operations Manager and Compliance and Technical Manager
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, logistics, communications, and operational documentation.
- Act as a key liaison between vessel teams and shore based departments.
- Support continuous improvement of operational systems, processes, and expedition planning.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic operational environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to planning and logistics.
- Experience in travel, expedition operations, logistics, maritime, or tourism industries is advantageous.
About You

- Experience in travel, expedition operations, logistics, maritime, or tourism industries is advantageous.
- This is a permanent, full-time role, based in Christchurch. On the job training will be provided which may include familiarisation trips to the vessels.
