About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic, organised, and hands on Design Room Assistant to help keep our design room running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for a fashion graduate or emerging creative talent wanting real industry experience across design, sampling, product development and ecom.
Who Are We:
Moochi was founded in Mount Maunganui in 2000 by Kellie and Chris Taylor. This was the beginning of what would become an iconic New Zealand women’s clothing brand, with 13 stores across the country and a strong online presence. The Head Office is now based in Auckland with team also in Sydney. Moochi has a very loyal customer and our purpose is to be the most loved brand in her wardrobe, bringing effortless luxury to her everyday, with an enduring style that will have her feeling confident, always.
We approach everything from our customer's point of view, striving to offer a premium, sensory experience through all touch points. As a vertical business we control all aspects from design, product development, manufacturing both locally and offshore, to our in-house marketing and sales, through our stores and online. What You’ll Do
Support designers through the full product lifecycle
Organise samples, rails and notes for fit sessions & product reviews
Manage sample tracking, swatches and trims
Assist with basic tech tasks and measurement checks
Prepare and manage samples for ecommerce and campaign shoots
Support dispatch and sample logistics across product, planning and marketing
General design room organisation and admin support
What You’ll Bring
Fashion/design qualification or recent graduate
Strong organisation and attention to detail
Ability to work at pace and manage multiple tasks
Great communication, proactive and eager to learn
Adobe skills a bonus
