Wealth Management plays a vital role within Milford Asset Management ,a respected leader in the investment management industry, known for delivering exceptional outcomes to clients. With offices spanning Auckland ,Sydney, Cambridge, Tauranga, Wellington ,Christchurch, Wanaka and Havelock North they now plan to establish a new office on the North Shore.

They are looking to appoint a Lead Investment Advisor in this office to develop and grow the business  on the North Shore and to deliver great service to their Wealth Management, KiwiSaver and Investment Fund clients in the region.

You will be an accomplished wealth management professional with experience in investment advice, sharebroking, funds management ,or private banking in a financial advisor capacity. You will be responsible for nurturing existing relationships and driving new business ,along with managing the office and leading and mentoring other advisors and associates in the team.

The role :
  • Responsibility for servicing and retaining Milford's Wealth Management clients.
  • Pro-active business generation alongside leadership/management of the team business development activities.
  • A genuine passion for financial markets and a sound understanding of investment fundamentals.
  • Initially you will be responsible for a small team which will significantly grow over time.
  • Input into the strategic planning for the Wealth management and their services. and contribute to projects and initiatives undertaken by the team.
  • Risk management responsibilities ensuring compliance with policies and licensing requirements.
  • Lead business development initiatives, events, presentations and other promotional opportunities.

The Person:
  • As a Lead Advisor you will be a people focused leader with operational oversight, having a strong ability to balance client facing advisory, team leadership and business growth.
  • Be a highly motivated investment professional with a proven track record of providing investment advice, with a strong drive to deliver optimal outcomes.
  • Team player who collaborates with a wide range of colleagues.
  • High level of computer literacy and investment systems skills.  
 This is a compelling opportunity for a high achieving Financial Adviser (Private Wealth) to expand and manage their own portfolio and increase FUM within a reputable and established brand. You will utilise your strong leadership capability to provide continuous training, mentoring and professional development in your team.
