About the role:
This full-time position will be based in our Invercargill office, where you will write articles and capture photos and videos for odt.co.nz, the Otago Daily Times daily newspaper, and our weekly community paper Southland Express. Southland Express provides in-depth coverage Southland and Stewart Island, covering government, sports, arts, education, farming, and business.
You should have reporting experience or a journalism qualification, along with a strong interest in news and storytelling across both online and print platforms. You should be enthusiastic about breaking news, covering community events, and able to work efficiently and calmly under pressure to deliver timely stories.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Journalism skills, including photography and videography capabilities.
