With plenty of upcoming work they are expanding and need an experienced Construction Manager to join their successful project team based in Christchurch.

The Role
You will work with clients to deliver tailor-built building and plant construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the on-site point of contact, coordinating construction activities and liaising with clients and stakeholders
• Manage project scope, budget, timelines, and variations while assessing cost implications
• Oversee contractors and ensure all work meets client standards and requirements, including inductions and permit to work procedures where necessary
• Oversee health & safety implementation, ensuring compliance with client standards, permits, and regulations
• Support procurement, tendering, and participate in design, buildability, and HAZOP reviews
• Regular project reporting with respect to progress, costs, health and safety and risks

What You Bring:

• A relevant tertiary qualification
• Proven experience in the dairy (or food) sector, managing a multidisciplinary construction site - buildings and plant
• Sound working knowledge of Health & Safety guidelines relating to large construction sites in NZ
• Proven experience managing contractors and contract variations
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
