This is a full-time, field-based role focused on ensuring systems remain operational, compliant, and reliable. Your work will primarily involve servicing and fault finding on systems such as emergency lighting, automatic doors, switchboards, and fire alarm systems.

This role is maintenance and service driven, and not construction-focused.

  • Carry out planned inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of:

    • Emergency lighting systems

    • Automatic doors and egress systems

    • Switchboards and associated electrical services

  • Complete minor remedial electrical works to maintain compliance and system reliability

  • Accurately complete service reports, compliance documentation, and test records

  • Ensure all work complies with relevant NZ standards, regulations, and health & safety requirements

  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding system performance, faults, and recommended actions

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Electrician (EWRB) with a current practicing license

  • Minimum of 1 year’s hands-on, post-qualification electrical experience

  • Proven ability in electrical maintenance and fault finding

  • Experience with emergency lighting, switchboards, or building services (fire alarm experience advantageous)

  • Ability to troubleshoot across multiple system types, not just fire alarms

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field service role

  • Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach

  • Full NZ driver’s license

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience

  • Ongoing training and development across fire and life safety systems
