YHI (New Zealand) Ltd are a leading supplier of alloy wheels, tyres, batteries, solar and power products. We require a talented and enthusiastic person to join our Christchurch team, on the road, selling automotive batteries from our battery van.


What you’ll do in the role: 

Based out of our Christchurch warehouse you will service our existing network of automotive and powersport battery customers across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury area. This role requires regular travel across the region.

  • Service and maintain existing automotive battery stands

  • Stocktake and manage existing consignment stock locations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across a wide range of customers

  • Work collaboratively within the Energy/Automotive teams to grow overall sales in the region

  • Manage and update CRM files and call schedules as required


What you’ll bring to the role:

  • A background in the automotive industry

  • Experience working in a similar role with a sales focus

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Great with technology

  • Adaptable – priorities and scenarios can quickly change

  • Physically fit and able to move and handle heavy items

  • An upbeat positive can-do attitude

  • Sense of humour – we like a laugh


Full on the job training will be provided. We provide a full suite of technology to make the role more efficient. This is a physical and hands on role.

A salary for this role will be negotiated with the successful candidate based on relevant skills and experience. The position is permanent and full time, 42.5 hours per week. Located at our premises in Sockburn, Christchurch.
