🥷 NATIONAL SCHOOLS MANAGER

NinjaVerse | New Zealand
Location: Hamilton (with national travel)
Full-time | Leadership Role

Build Something National. Impact Thousands.

The NinjaVerse is expanding at the speed of fun and we’re on a mission to help young people get off screens and into movement — building confidence, resilience, and lifelong habits of health through fun.

We operate Ninja Valley, New Zealand’s leading active entertainment venues, and The Ninja Run, a national touring obstacle event visiting cities across the country.

Schools are at the heart of what we do.

We work with hundreds of schools every year — and we’re now ready to take that to the next level.

We’re looking for a National Schools Manager to build, lead and scale this segment across New Zealand.

The Opportunity

This is not a coordination role.

This is a build-and-lead role.

You will take ownership of one of the most important segments in the business — designing how we engage with schools nationally, driving revenue, and creating unforgettable experiences for thousands of students.

You’ll work across:

  • Ninja Valley Hamilton

  • Ninja Valley Christchurch

  • The Ninja Run City Series (11+ cities nationwide)

This role is ideal for someone who wants to step into real responsibility early in their career and help shape a growing national brand.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

National Strategy & Growth

  • Build and execute the national schools strategy

  • Grow participation and revenue across all venues and events

  • Identify new opportunities with primary, intermediate and secondary schools

Revenue Ownership

  • Own the schools segment performance nationally

  • Drive repeat bookings and long-term school relationships

  • Develop pricing, packages and offers

Systems & Structure

  • Build and implement a national schools playbook

  • Standardise outreach, booking processes and communications

  • Develop and manage a national schools CRM pipeline

Ninja Run Integration

  • Lead school engagement in each host city

  • Coordinate school participation and competition formats

  • Build relationships with PE departments and sports coordinators

Marketing & Relationships

  • Work with marketing to develop school campaigns and content

  • Build strong relationships with principals and key decision-makers

  • Develop a teacher ambassador network

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to have done this exact role before — but you do need to be:

  • Commercially minded — you understand revenue, value and growth

  • Highly organised — you can build systems and processes

  • A strong communicator — confident with schools and stakeholders

  • Proactive and driven — you take ownership and make things happen

  • Comfortable working nationally — including travel across NZ

  • Aligned with our mission — helping young people move, play and thrive

Advantageous:

  • Understanding of the New Zealand school system, including how schools operate day-to-day

  • Familiarity with the national curriculum, physical education frameworks, or school wellbeing initiatives

  • Existing relationships or experience working with schools, education providers, or youth programmes

Location & Working Style

This role is based in Hamilton (HQ), with:

  • Regular collaboration with leadership, marketing and operations teams

  • National travel for The Ninja Run and school engagement

  • A mix of strategic work and on-the-ground relationship building

Why Join NinjaVerse?

  • Be part of a fast-growing national brand

  • Step into a role with real ownership and impact

  • Help shape a segment that reaches thousands of young people

  • Work in a high-energy, purpose-driven environment

  • Build a pathway into future leadership within the business

Salary

Competitive salary based on experience, with performance-based incentives.

The Bottom Line
