We build our platform to enable advisers and providers the ability to efficiently manage, trade and administer their customers' assets. Ranging from bonds, ETFs, KiwiSaver, managed funds, shares, and more, our platform provides wealth managers with significant efficiencies when maintaining, and reporting, on their customers' investment portfolios.
  
About the opportunity
This role offers the opportunity to design and shape APIs that connect client and third‑party systems to NZX’s wealth technology platform. You’ll work closely with clients, architects and engineers to translate business needs into clear, build‑ready API and integration specifications. Alongside delivering high‑quality integrations, you’ll help influence API standards, security and best practice, with scope to contribute to broader business analysis work as the platform and organisation evolve.
  
Key responsibilities
  • Elicit and translate client and business requirements into clear API and integration specifications
  • Design and document API request/response models, triggers, validation and error handling
  • Work closely with clients, architects and engineers to deliver secure, scalable integrations
  • Contribute to API design standards, integration patterns and non‑functional requirements
  • Support broader business analysis and solution definition as organisational priorities evolve.
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business, Technology or similar.
  • Good general IT knowledge.
  • Business Analysis, operational or support roles involving wrap, wealth, investments, KiwiSaver, broker, registry or similar systems.
In addition to this you will have excellent communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, be self-organised and have the ability to work under pressure managing multiple demands at a time.
